MULS Elections 2011
Dear Students,
Nominations for the 2012 Executive of the Macquarie University Law Society (MULS) will open on Friday 2 September until 5PM Friday 16 September. Any student that is currently enrolled in a Law Degree (internally or by distance) and will remain so in 2012 is eligible to nominate for a position on the Society.
Interested students are advised to read the 2011 MULS Elections Guide carefully and familiarise themselves with the responsibilities associated with being an Executive Member on MULS, as well as the nomination and election processes that will operate.
Students are encouraged to contact the 2011 MULS President Kathy Molla-Abbasi at president@muls.org, should they have any questions about the election process, with scope for an informal Q&A event regarding holding a position on MULS to be organised in the next fortnight.
This announcement has been authorised by the MULS Returning Officer Penelope Watson pursuant to s 7.10 of the MULS Election Appendix.
This is a reminder that nominations for 2012 MULS Elections are open until 5 pm Friday 16 September - please make sure to read the MULS Election Rules.
A MULS Election Q&A Session will be held on Monday 12 September at 3 pm in the Moot Court. This event has been authorised by the MULS Returning Officer Penelope Watson pursuant to s 7.10 of the MULS Constitution as an Authorised Event.
Attendance at this session is optional, but students who plan to run for a position on MULS that are unsure about nomination procedures (or have any general questions about the Election process) are particularly encouraged to attend. Please RSVP your attendance to Kathy Molla-Abbasi at president@muls.
If you can't attend but have general questions, don't hesitate to contact Kathy Molla-Abbasi at president@muls.org.
