Professional Mentoring Program

The MULS Professional Mentoring Program (“PMP”) is an initiative from MULS designed for students in their penultimate year (4th year or equivalent) of a law degree from the Macquarie Law School.

What is the PMP all about?

The PMP is designed to increase face-to-face contact between leading law firms and law students from Macquarie Law School. It is hoped that the program will help firms establish a relationship with some of the best students from Macquarie Law School. At the same time, students will have the opportunity to gain valuable insight into the working life and culture of the firm of their choice.

The program aims to pair students with a nominated lawyer from one of the partner firms.

How does it work?

Up to four students will be paired with a lawyer from each of our MULS PMP partner firms. Students are only entitled to elect one firm of their choice. Please understand that there are limited places in this program but we hope that as many students as possible can benefit from the MULS PMP.

The extent of the PMP relationship is up to each individual firm, but it is envisaged that this will involve the provision of a nominated lawyer’s contact details to each successful applicant. It will then be up to the lawyer and student to make their own arrangements to meet/talk. This could be as simple as a short coffee or a quick phone call – it is up to you!

Who are the MULS PMP Partner Firms?

  • Allens Arthur Robinson
  • Blake Dawson

  2. be eligible for the award of LLB (Honours – either first or second class) based on their current level of academic achievement; and,
  3. have submitted a 200 word profile in a similar format to a Summer Clerkship application cover letter, nominating one firm of their choice, along with a copy of their academic results.

How do I apply?

Step 1: Check the eligibility requirements under a) and b), above.
