Junior Mooting
Junior Mooting is open to students in their second or third year(or the equivalent) of their LLB. Students are required to construct, present and argue a case before a judge in teams of two to four - solicitors are optional and roles are interchangeable per round.
The Grand Final is normally held in the Banco Court of the Supreme Court of NSW in front of an esteemed panel of legal professionals and partners - in 2010 Justice Palmer of the Supreme Court of New South Wales presided over the Bench.
In 2010, the Competition was won by Elysse Lloyd (Best Oralist), Natalie Mead, David Hamer and Michael Themis, with runners up Louisa Dillon, Hugh Morrison, Thomas Platt and Laura Pontin.
The Mooting Workshop will be held on Tuesday, 1 March. This is not to be missed by any competitors-whether 2011 is your first or final year, these workshops are the ideal place to learn the appropriate tips and techniques to advance in the competition.
