LETTER TO THE VICE CHANCELLOR AND EXECUTIVE DEAN OF ARTS
SIGN THIS PETITION NOW!

Dear fellow law students,
The MULS Executive Committee is deeply concerned about the lack of funding to the Macquarie Law School and the consequent reduction in teaching quality and the standard of the administration of the degree.
These concerns include the reduced number of academics, electives, credit points and tutorial hours; essentially an unacceptable drop in teaching resources and standards.

To address these concerns, MULS has written a letter addressed to the Vice Chancellor, Professor Steven Schwartz, and the Executive Dean of Arts, Professor John Simons, of Macquarie University. As you will read in the letter, many of the problems that arise around funding and other issues are due to the academic restructure.

This letter is designed as a petition; we are asking all like-minded undergraduate law students (of which we know there are many - you helped write the letter) to affix their names to the letter in support of its contents and recommendations. The letter has the full support of the MULS Executive. If you have any questions about the content of the letter, please email Tom Gaffney, MULS Vice President (Education) at education@muls.org

We kindly request a few things of you to make this petition a success:

1. Please read the letter here or at the bottom of this page

2. Support the letter by signing your name and student number in the form here

3. Please help us by encouraging other undergraduate law students to sign the petition. Use Facebook; join the MULS Page and invite your friends to join MULS and sign the petition.

The greater the support, the more likely there will be a positive outcome.

Please note that alumni can sign this petition also, simply put your name in the name field and 'alumni' in the student number field.

Kind regards,
MULS Executive Committee
