Australia's Innovative University

Competitions

Welcome to MULS Competitions.

Students studying Law at Macquarie University are invited to compete in Competitions, which develop student skills in advocacy, dispute resolution and critical thinking.

Macquarie University has seen consistent success within Competitions. In 2007 the Macquarie University Law School were champions in the Commonwealth Mooting Competition, Australian Law Students' Association (ALSA) National Mooting Competition, ALSA Sir Laurence Street Negotiation Competition and ALSA Paper Presentation.

Most recently, the Macquarie University mooting team reached the quarter-finals of the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot - one of the world’s highest calibre mooting competitions. In March 2008 Macquarie’s Willem C. Vis Moot team competed amongst two-hundred and five Universities in Vienna and finished with a ranking within the top 32 teams.
