The Client Interview competition helps refine and improve client relationship skills – the same skills used day-to-day by practicing lawyers everywhere.

In teams of two students act as lawyers to interview a client in a hypothetical first consultation. Prior to the competition teams are provided with a short memo outlining the nature of the client’s problem. It is then up to students to extract all relevant information from the client and come to a conclusion about the nature of the problem during a 30-40 minute session. The Grand Final of the Competition is judged by some of Sydney’s leading solicitors, academics and other professionals and held in the offices of our MULS Client Interview sponsor.
