Junior Mooting is open to students in their first or second year (or the equivalent) of their LLB. The competition follows a similar format to Senior Mooting, yet the questions are simpler and the judges recognise that most students are mooting for the first time.

Students are required to construct, present and argue a case before a judge in teams of two to four - solicitors are optional and roles are interchangeable per round.

The Grand Final is normally held in the Banco Court of the Supreme Court of NSW in front of actual judges; providing students with a great opportunity to test their advocacy skills and receive feedback from some of Sydney's leading legal figures.
